An event that adds meaning to Mother's Day with handmade work

Handicrafts Exhibition by Bornova’s Women Opens in Büyükpark

The Mother’s Day Gift Days and Handicrafts Year-End Exhibition organized by Bornova Municipality has started in Büyükpark, in front of the Kızlar Kahvesi. The handcrafted products made by members of the Bornova Women's Entrepreneurship and Business Cooperative, along with handicraft course trainees, are on display for the people of Bornova. The event will continue until May 9.

The exhibition, part of Bornova Municipality’s Hobby and Skills Development Courses’ Handicrafts Year-End Show, showcases a wide range of handmade items by women from the cooperative and course participants. From jewelry to bags, accessories to clothing, a variety of items are presented for visitors to admire and purchase.


Mayor Eşki: “Women need to be more visible in production”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that women's labor is one of the key elements in social development and strengthening community solidarity. He stated:

“These unique items, created with craftsmanship, creativity, and patience, carry significant economic and cultural value. As Bornova Municipality, we will continue to mobilize all our resources to ensure that women are more visible in production, empowered, and actively participate in social life.”


Open Until May 9
