Mayor Eşki: “A brand-new breathing space for young people”

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“We are designing Bornova together with young people, reflecting their energy onto the city. The Bicycle Performance Park will be a meeting point not only for adrenaline enthusiasts but also for everyone who chooses a healthy lifestyle. The appreciation of our young people is our greatest motivation.”

An 11-decare adrenaline hub

Located on 4088 Street in Yeşilova Neighborhood, the project stands out with its modern design over a wide 11-decare area. Following thematic areas such as Abide-i Hürriyet Square and the TRNC Park, this new park features pump track circuits, safe riding zones, and sports-oriented landscaping. After the construction is completed, only the landscaping will remain to be finalized.

What is a Pump Track?

A pump track is a specially designed looped circuit consisting of bumps, turns, and ramps. It can be used with bicycles, skateboards, and scooters. The system allows riders to gain speed not by pedaling but by using body movements to “pump.” Beyond being fun, it also supports balance, coordination, and physical development, which is why it is rapidly gaining popularity among young people.
