Mayor Eşki Personally Served Soup to Residents in EVKA-3

Bornova Municipality has expanded its hot soup service, which continues during the cold winter days, to the EVKA-3 Metro Station, now reaching 3,000 people every morning at three locations: Bornova, Stadium, and EVKA-3. Serving soup to residents early in the morning at EVKA-3, Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that they are on duty before dawn to strengthen solidarity.

Bornova Municipality has broadened its hot soup service that fosters solidarity during the winter months. Initially launched at the Bornova and Stadium Metro Stations, the service has now reached three locations with the addition of the EVKA-3 Metro Station. Early in the morning, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki visited EVKA-3, personally serving soup and chatting with residents.

Hot Treat for 3,000 People Every Morning

In the early hours of the day, Bornova Municipality offers hot soup, bread, and water to residents heading to work and school. The service points set up at the three metro stations reach approximately 3,000 people daily. The initiative has been especially well received by students and workers.

Addressing residents at the third soup distribution point at EVKA-3 Metro Station, Mayor Ömer Eşki said:

“Good morning, dear residents of Bornova. We are at the third soup distribution point at EVKA-3 Metro Station. Together with the Bornova and Stadium Metro Stations, we are serving hot soup, bread, and water to 3,000 people every morning at three locations. As people head to work in the morning, we want to meet life’s challenges with a warm bowl of soup from Bornova Municipality. We will continue to be on duty for you before the day even begins.”

Soups Prepared at the City Kitchen

The soups served to residents are prepared at the Bornova Municipality City Kitchen under hygienic conditions by professional chefs. Carried out within the framework of a social municipality approach, the service will continue throughout the winter season.
