An Emotional Evening at City Talks

The “Farewell to Spring, Welcome Summer” poetry recital, organized by Bornova Municipality as part of the City Talks series, took place at the Uğur Mumcu Cultural Center. While poets evoked emotional moments with season-themed poems, Erdoğan Çördük’s musical performances added color to the night. The event received great interest from art enthusiasts.

Held on Saturday, May 24, the evening brought together poetry lovers at the Uğur Mumcu Cultural Center. The recital captured the sorrow and excitement of the seasonal transition, blending them beautifully through verse.

The event was hosted by İbrahim Aktaş and opened with a speech by Atila Er. Poems recited by Tuğçe Yerdelen, Kemal Kantar, Müjgan Eminoğlu, Mehmet Rayman, Fatma Nişancı, Gülizar Atan, Nurgül Ekeke, Ali Kurt, Buket Işıkdoğan Köse, Fatma Aras, Coşkun Şimşekli, and Metin Soydeveli offered unforgettable moments to the packed audience. Musician Erdoğan Çördük, who added musical flair to the evening, was met with enthusiastic applause.
