Children and Adults Show Great Interest in Summer Sports Courses

Bornova Municipality's Summer Sports Courses, offering a wide variety of sports for participants born between 1959 and 2021, are attracting significant interest. Gymnastics, swimming, taekwondo, football, volleyball, and basketball facilities across the district are filled with participants, allowing children and adults alike to enjoy an active and healthy summer. Mayor Ömer Eşki expressed his satisfaction with the strong participation, emphasizing the municipality's goal of making sports a permanent part of everyday life in Bornova.

Bornova Municipality has officially launched its Summer Sports Courses, bringing people of all ages—especially children—together through physical activity and healthy living. Training sessions continue in a variety of disciplines, offering Bornova residents an energetic and enjoyable summer.

Sports for Everyone

Designed for a broad range of age groups, the program offers activities suitable for every participant.

Children and young people are currently attending:

  • Gymnastics (born 2019–2021)
  • Taekwondo (born 2011–2018)
  • Football (born 2013–2020)

Team sports enthusiasts are participating in:

  • Volleyball (born 2012–2017)
  • Girls' Basketball (born 2012–2018)
  • Boys' Basketball (born 2012–2019)

One of the most popular summer activities, Swimming, is available for:

  • Children (born 2010–2017)
  • Adults (born 1959–2009)

In addition, an Adult Volleyball program is available for participants born between 1976 and 2007.

Highlighting the municipality's commitment to expanding access to sports throughout the district, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:

Since the launch of our courses, our sports fields, gyms, and swimming pools have been filled with energy and enthusiasm. Our goal is to make sports a lasting part of everyday life in Bornova."
