Future Scientists Gather at Summer Workshops

Bornova Municipality continues to enrich children's summer holidays with fun and educational activities. Following the great success of its July program, the Summer Science Workshops at the Mevlana Community and Science Center will continue throughout August with a brand-new series of hands-on workshops designed to inspire young minds through science.

A July Filled with Scientific Discovery

The Mevlana Community and Science Center welcomed young science enthusiasts between 21–23 July and 28–30 July. Throughout the two-week program, children participated in a wide range of interactive activities, including Building Strong Structures, Meteorite Hunting, Solar Observation, Basic Electricity Experiments, and Mind Games. They also developed their creativity and practical skills by producing their own cologne, soap, candles, and perfumes in hands-on workshops.

Following the enthusiastic participation in July, the Summer Science Workshops are reopening their doors in August for middle and high school students.

Emphasizing the importance of introducing children to scientific thinking at an early age, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
