Students Discover Well-Being and Peer Solidarity

Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center (BELGEM) organized an event titled “Our Well-Being and Peer Solidarity” for 4th and 5th grade students.

The program aimed to increase awareness about recognizing emotions, building empathy, and developing healthy communication skills.

Held at the BELGEM facility in Çamdibi, the event encouraged students to explore emotional awareness and the value of peer support through interactive activities and discussions.

Emotional Awareness and Healthy Communication

Students learned the importance of positive peer relationships, empathy, mutual respect, and healthy interpersonal skills.

The concept of well-being was explored in depth, helping students understand how to maintain a sense of happiness, safety, and self-worth.

The event concluded with a presentation by BELGEM Guidance Counselor Emre Gülcan. Students actively participated by creating their own slogans about well-being and peer solidarity.

Mayor Eşki: “We Are Raising Strong Individuals for the Future”

Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that children’s social and emotional development is just as important as their academic growth.

“We support children in becoming individuals who can express themselves, empathize with others, and embrace a culture of solidarity. These programs play a significant role in strengthening their life skills.”
