Construction of a Central Median Begins in Front of Bornova Central Marketplace

Bornova Municipality has launched the construction of a permanent central median in front of the Central Covered Marketplace to enhance transportation comfort in the district. With a design featuring firebrick, special landscaping, and lighting, the project aims to prevent improper parking and ensure a safer traffic flow. Closely monitoring the works on site day and night, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that they are resolutely pursuing permanent and aesthetic transportation solutions.

Bornova Municipality continues its road construction and improvement works without interruption in order to establish a safer and more comfortable transportation network across the district. Within this scope, construction of a permanent central median has begun on 544th Street, which passes in front of the Bornova Central Covered Marketplace and connects Mustafa Kemal Avenue with Yüzbaşı İbrahim Hakkı Avenue.

A Modern Appearance with Firebrick, Landscaping, and Special Lighting

As part of the project, the central median will be built using firebrick, based on the model previously implemented on Mustafa Kemal Avenue. The median area will also feature special landscaping arrangements and decorative lighting. With this redesign, the appearance of the street will be completely transformed, while preventing random parking and ensuring a more orderly and secure traffic flow.

Mayor Eşki Monitors the Works on Site Day and Night

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki inspected the works on site, which continue both day and night, and underlined that transportation investments directly affect Bornova’s quality of life. He stated, “In Bornova, we are not merely renewing roads; we are producing permanent, aesthetic, and functional solutions. This project on 544th Street will both regulate traffic and give the area a modern appearance. In order not to disrupt our citizens’ daily lives, our teams are working on site around the clock.”
