Pedestrian Areas Clearly Marked in Küçükpark

Bornova Municipality’s Municipal Police (Zabıta) teams have marked pedestrian areas with lines in Küçükpark, one of the busiest areas of the district, to prevent businesses from encroaching beyond public spaces. The initiative aims to enable pedestrians to use sidewalks more safely and comfortably. Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that such efforts will continue to ensure both the sustainability of local businesses and the protection of public spaces.

Encroachment boundaries defined, public spaces protected

Teams from the Bornova Municipality Zabıta Department carried out encroachment inspections in the Küçükpark area and marked boundaries with lines to prevent the use of public spaces beyond permitted limits. Through painting and marking works, sidewalks and shared areas have been made safer and more orderly for pedestrians.

Mayor Eşki: “We consider both our shopkeepers and our pedestrians”

Emphasizing that Küçükpark is one of the city’s most vibrant and crowded living areas, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“Our goal is to ensure that our shopkeepers can continue their activities without hardship, while our pedestrians are able to use public spaces freely and safely. We will continue these practices with determination to protect urban order and our shared culture of coexistence.”
