Bornova Municipality Announces a New Social Living Space

Bornova Municipality is meeting yet another long-awaited need in the Evka 3 Neighborhood. Responding to residents' requests for a space where they can relax, enjoy tea, and spend time with their children, the municipality has taken the first step toward a brand-new park project.

The construction of a new park and social area in Evka 3, initiated based on community demand, has officially begun. The foundation for the café to be built within the park, located on 126/4 Street, was laid by CHP İzmir MP Seda Kaya Ösen and Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki.

Mayor Ömer Eşki: "We are creating a space for relaxation and socialization in Evka 3"

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized the need in the Evka 3 area and said:

“For a long time, our residents in Evka 3 have been asking for a place where they can enjoy tea or coffee and socialize. Today, together with our dear MP Seda, we laid the foundation of our café. I thank her for joining us. Very soon, this area will be transformed into a beautiful park — a social space where residents can spend time in peace and bring their children to play.”

Seda Kaya Ösen: “A project that will add value to Bornova”

CHP İzmir MP Seda Kaya Ösen, who attended and participated in the groundbreaking, shared her thoughts on the project:

“I sincerely thank our Mayor for his kind invitation. Hopefully, this space will become a joyful meeting point for the entire neighborhood. I wish the best for Bornova and the region.”

Green Space, Playground, and Modern Café to Come

The new park project will include children's playgrounds, seating and relaxation areas, and a modern café. The project is designed to serve as a social gathering spot, especially for the elderly, families with children, and young people. Bornova Municipality aims to complete the work in a short period and open the park for public use.
