Teachers, Instructors and Coaches Came Together at Dramalılar Köşkü

Bornova Municipality celebrated Teachers’ Day (24 November) with a special breakfast event held at Dramalılar Köşkü. BELGEM teachers, course instructors and sports coaches attended the program, where Mayor Ömer Eşki congratulated them on their special day and emphasized the importance of education.

Bornova Municipality hosted a special breakfast at Dramalılar Köşkü for teachers, instructors and coaches working within the municipality to celebrate Teachers’ Day. BELGEM (Bornova Municipality Youth Education Center) teachers, instructors from the Children’s Play and Activity Center and the Hobby & Skill Training Courses, as well as coaches from the Sports Directorate attended the event. Uğur Nazlıoğlu, Chair of DİSK Genel-İş Union Branch No. 7, also joined the program to celebrate the teachers' special day.

“It is our duty to respect the sacrifices made”

Speaking at the event, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki congratulated all teachers and education workers on Teachers’ Day and stated:

“Happy Teachers’ Day. This is a very meaningful and special day for all of us. Let me say this clearly: Those who founded the Republic paid a great price so that we could be here together today, walk freely under our own flag at the October 29 celebrations and honor our Republic. Showing respect for them and fulfilling our duty is one of our most important responsibilities. Thank you all for being here, valuing this day and doing what is necessary.”

Mayor Eşki emphasized that education is one of the fundamental pillars of society and said Bornova Municipality will continue to strengthen its services in the field of education.

Cake Cutting and Flower Gifts

The breakfast program continued with the cutting of a special cake prepared for the occasion. Bornova Municipality presented flowers to all teachers to thank them for their dedication. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the gathering received great appreciation from participants.
