A Major Aesthetic Transformation in the Heart of Bornova
Zafer and Süvari Streets to Shine Bright
Bornova Municipality has launched a major aesthetic renewal project covering Zafer and Süvari Streets, equipping the heart of the district with modern lighting and renewed roads. As part of the project, a 400-space underground parking facility will be constructed, providing a permanent solution to the parking problem in and around Küçükpark. Inspecting the ongoing fieldwork on site, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that efforts would continue at full speed to provide residents with the comfortable and aesthetically pleasing urban environment they deserve.
Bornova Municipality continues its extensive road construction, sidewalk renovation, and median improvement campaign across the district without slowing down. The major transformation project, which aims to enhance urban aesthetics and ease the traffic burden in the city center, is being implemented along a broad corridor covering Zafer and Süvari Streets. Inspecting the work on site, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki announced that they had launched a series of aesthetic improvements that would transform Bornova’s appearance, along with the good news of a new 400-space underground parking facility to be added to the area.
A New Era of Aesthetics and Comfort Begins in the City Center
The renewal campaign launched on the streets at the heart of Bornova aims to provide safer and more modern transportation infrastructure for both pedestrians and drivers. Inspecting the fieldwork on Zafer Street together with the relevant municipal unit managers, Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that the project would bring about an aesthetic transformation in central Bornova. Stating that the roads would be completely renewed in the first phase, Mayor Eşki said a modern, illuminated median would be constructed in the center of the street.
400-Space Solution to Küçükpark’s Parking Problem
A permanent solution is also being introduced to one of the area’s biggest problems: the shortage of parking spaces. A modern facility will soon be built on the site currently used as an open-air parking lot. The new 400-space underground parking facility to be constructed on Zafer Street will significantly reduce traffic congestion and parking problems, particularly around Küçükpark and its surrounding area.
Bornova’s Main Arteries to Be Connected by Light
Emphasizing that the project is not only an infrastructure initiative but also a visual transformation, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki said:
“We are starting, hopefully, a major aesthetic transformation in the heart of Bornova, covering Zafer and Süvari Streets. We are currently on Zafer Street, where our teams have already begun working. We will complete the necessary roadwork here and construct an illuminated median in the center. Very soon, we will also begin the process of building a 400-space parking facility here that will help ease the burden on Bornova Küçükpark. We will have an underground parking facility and will significantly alleviate the parking problem in this area. The lighting that begins on Zafer Street will connect, on one side, with the lighting that will continue along Mustafa Kemal Street, and on the other side, it will connect to Süvari Street, one of Bornova’s main arteries. That area will also become bright and vibrant. We will continue doing everything we can to provide the people of Bornova with the comfort and aesthetics they deserve.”
