A Gathering of Solidarity and Hope in Bornova

Mayor Eşki Calls for Support for Education at the ÇYDD New Year Bazaar

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki attended the New Year Bazaar organized by the İzmir Branch of the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD) at Dramalılar Mansion together with his wife and son, contributing to the spirit of solidarity. Emphasizing that the proceeds from the bazaar would support the education of scholarship students, Mayor Eşki and ÇYDD İzmir Branch President Aslı Tamtürk stated that the event carried wishes for a new year filled with hope, solidarity, and justice.

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki participated in the New Year Bazaar organized by the İzmir Economic Enterprise of the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD). Aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and supporting educational projects for children and young people, the event was held in the historic atmosphere of the Bornova Municipality City Archive and Museum, Dramalılar Mansion.

Featuring handmade products as well as second-hand clothing and gift items, the bazaar attracted great interest from the residents of Bornova and reinforced the spirit of solidarity.

“We Stand by Every Effort That Lights the Way for Our Children’s Future”

Highlighting the importance of the bazaar for students receiving scholarships from ÇYDD, Mayor Ömer Eşki said,
“As Bornova Municipality, we will continue to support institutions like ÇYDD, which contribute strongly to society and are active in every aspect of life, as much as we can. I wish this bazaar to be beneficial for everyone, especially for our children.”

Attending the event with his wife Beste Eşki and their son Noyan Volkan, Mayor Eşki also purchased New Year gifts from the bazaar, further contributing to the spirit of solidarity.

“May the New Year Be the Year of Hope and Justice”

ÇYDD İzmir Branch President Aslı Tamtürk stated that the bazaar would support the educational journeys of hundreds of young people and said,
“I wish our New Year bazaar to be fruitful. The new year should be the year of hope, solidarity, freedom, democracy, and justice. We will continue to light the way for the future of hundreds of young people.”

As part of the event, a music recital performed by students receiving educational support from the association was met with great appreciation by participants.
