It Was the Trainees’ Turn to Take the Stage
Three Days of Nonstop Melodies Showcased the Pride of Art and Dedication

The End-of-Year Recitals, organized in the garden of the Bornova Municipality Hobby and Skills Development Course Center and met with great enthusiasm, concluded after a three-day musical celebration. During the event, children and adult trainees experienced the excitement of performing on stage with piano, violin, guitar, qanun, bağlama, and children’s choir performances. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that these recitals, prepared with dedication and passion by participants of all ages, filled them with pride by strengthening the city’s culture of creativity, sharing, and art.

The Bornova Municipality Hobby and Skills Development Course Center hosted a magnificent musical event as part of its year-end activities. On the stage set up in the center’s garden, children and adults of all ages enjoyed an unforgettable performance experience. The recitals, which filled the venue with the unifying power of art, received enthusiastic appreciation from audiences throughout the three-day program.

Sharing his thoughts on the event, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that the municipality will continue to support art and creative production in Bornova.

“These special recitals, prepared throughout the year with love and dedication by participants of all ages attending our Hobby and Skills Development Courses, are a source of great pride for us. A Captivating Meeting of Rhythm and Harmony

The first day of the recitals opened with a rich variety of musical instruments. Performances featuring piano, guitar, percussion instruments, and the qanun—a distinguished instrument of traditional Turkish music—captivated the audience. Under the guidance of instructors Caner Aral, Şafak Kıran, Mehmet Kılınç, and Namık Sağlam, the trainees impressed listeners with their coordinated rhythms and solo performances, demonstrating a level of artistry comparable to professional musicians.

The Elegance of the Violin Filled the Garden

On the second day, the stage belonged to the sounds of piano, violin, and guitar. Beginning at 7:00 PM, the program showcased the enchanting harmony of stringed instruments throughout the course center’s garden. Talented students trained by instructors Ece Şerbetman, İlknur Güneş Safa, Dilara Akın, Seçil Saykan, and M. Sinan Kurşun presented a diverse repertoire ranging from Western music to classical works.

A Magnificent Finale with the Children’s Choir and Bağlama

The closing program brought together the heartfelt melodies of Anatolia and the joyful voices of children. Featuring performances by the Bağlama Ensemble and the Children’s Choir, the evening highlighted traditional Turkish folk songs performed under the direction of instructors Erkan Çabuk, Hasan Başkaya, and Selda Kesgi. Accompanied by enthusiastic applause from the audience, this memorable finale secured a special place in Bornova’s cultural and artistic memory.
