Mayor Eşki Emphasizes Safety and Education:
“We are ready to provide all support for our children”

Following the school attacks in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa that plunged the entire country into mourning, Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki visited Evrenosoğlu Secondary School in Meriç Neighborhood and met with students. The visit once again highlighted the importance of safety and solidarity in education.

Accompanied by Meriç Neighborhood Head (Muhtar) Elvan Aktimur, Mayor Eşki was warmly welcomed by students. He spoke with them in the schoolyard, listened to their expectations, and exchanged ideas on improving educational environments.

Receiving information from Muhtar Aktimur about the school’s needs, Eşki noted all requests and stated that necessary steps would be taken in coordination with relevant institutions.

“Education is not only about lessons, but about a safe future”

Emphasizing that recent tragic events have further underlined the importance of education, Mayor Eşki stated that school safety must be a top priority:
“The safe education of our children is our greatest responsibility. This is not only about education but also about the future. Even if it is not directly within the municipality’s authority, we will continue to support our schools in cooperation with relevant institutions.”

“We are always on the ground for our children, who are our future”

Highlighting their ongoing efforts to improve educational conditions, Eşki said:
“We are ready to provide all kinds of support for our children, who are our future. We will do everything in our power to ensure their safety, happiness, and access to quality education.”
