A Summer Full of Sports in Bornova

Registration for Summer Sports Courses Begins on June 30!

Bornova Municipality has completed preparations for its Summer Sports Courses for children and adults. Offering a wide range of activities including volleyball, basketball, football, swimming, gymnastics, and taekwondo, the program will bring sports and healthy living to residents throughout the summer. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki invited citizens of all ages to participate, emphasizing that sports are one of the cornerstones of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Bornova Municipality has launched registrations for its annual Summer Sports Courses, organized to promote sports culture and encourage healthy living among residents of all ages. The official online registration process for the 2026 Summer Term will begin on June 30, 2026.

Eight Different Sports Branches

This year’s program offers eight different sports disciplines for both beginners and those looking to improve their skills. Age groups have been carefully planned as follows:

  • Volleyball: Children (born 2012–2017) and Adults (born 1976–2007)
  • Basketball: Girls (born 2012–2018) and Boys (born 2012–2019)
  • Swimming: Children (born 2010–2017) and Adults (born 1959–2009)
  • Gymnastics: Children born between 2019–2021
  • Taekwondo: Children born between 2011–2018
  • Football: Children born between 2013–2020

Online Registration Only

To make the application process easier, Bornova Municipality has moved all registrations to a fully digital platform. Citizens can register online starting June 30, 2026, via kurs.bornova.bel.tr.

Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that supporting the physical and mental development of children and young people is one of the municipality’s key priorities:

“In Bornova, a city known for its sporting achievements, we aim to make sports accessible to everyone. While helping children develop healthy habits from an early age, we also provide adults with opportunities for an active and healthy lifestyle. With our strong infrastructure and experienced coaches, these courses will contribute not only to physical development but also to social solidarity. I invite all Bornova residents to take part in the sport that suits them best this summer.”
