BBŞT

Bornova Municipality City Theatre started its activities in 1992. In 33 years, it has become a brand for Izmir, trained thousands of trainees, and has become a subsidized theatre that stages dozens of plays, both trainees and professionals, every year. BBŞT is a pioneer in its field, both because it is a professional repertory theatre and because it provides training to hundreds of theatre lovers every year in different disciplines of theatre such as children and youth theatre, creative drama, dramatic writing, backstage, theatre music, and movement workshop with the BBŞT Academy brand. BBŞT is a theatre that is followed not only in Izmir but also throughout Turkey, and sets an example for other institutions with its artistic and administrative approach. While strengthening its structure with the contacts established with various theatres in the national and international context, projects developed and festivals participated in, it also produces art worthy of the Izmir audience with its respect for them.
