He was born in September 7th, 1976. He completed his primary school education in Bornova Kars Halil Atila Primary School, his secondary education in Bornova Suphi Koyuncuoğlu High School and his higher education in Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Architecture. Having received education in English in Luton University in England, he had his master degree in Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Dokuz Eylül University. Having completed his education, he founded Olgun Atila Mimarlık Limited Company operating in the field of architectural project and construction.

He was a columnist called “Değişim” (Transformation) in a local newspaper between 1996-2008. He undertook the mission of Izmir Friendship Association Platform, defender of peace, unity, solidarity and fraternity between 2006-2008.

In 2009 local election, he was elected as CHP (Republican People’s Party)- Bornova Municipality Council Member and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council Member. He was in charge with Court Clerkship in Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Assembly between 2009-2013. He was the head of Transportation Commission of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in 2009.

Olgun Atila is married and has two children.
